Shura holds a Certificate in Training & Counseling from the Academy for Dog Trainers and has been training dogs since her graduation in 2001, giving in to her soft spot for small dogs early on. We believe top-notch care begins with a top-notch staff. That’s why we insist on a high staff-to-small-dog ratio with a staff who are dog*tec trained and certified. R Positive specializes in small dogs off-leash hiking. We work to improve canine and human socialization, practice recall and encourage healthy play! R Positive dog walking employs only reward-based training methods and We require the family be on board with not using any pain or fear based techniques as they would conflict with our philosophy and cause future problems for the dog. Dogs love me, and I love them. I've had dogs my whole life. Whether it's for a walk or an extended stay, I will treat your dog as though they're my own. We take long walks and go to the park daily. At home, they can use the fenced yard while supervised, but typically they're too tired and just want to relax and sleep. There are dog beds, bowls, toys, and a small crate. To develop strong bonds with the dogs, form cohesive packs, and ensure they get plenty of exercise, we do not use a car. We explore San Francisco on foot as we visit the local off leash dog parks. We are a San Francisco-based dog walking service. We'll take your dog on trail hikes in nature, allow them the opportunity to socialize with a familiar pack, and participate in enrichment activities that will help make for a holistically happy and healthy hound. We use positive reward-based training first and foremost, and we work with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and ages. We also specialize in working one-on-one to help dog owners manage leash reactivity.

We are the connellys. I’m Jen. Stay at home mom and pet obsessed. My husband, Matt, is a truck driver and loves hanging out with our fur friends when he’s home. We have one 12 year old princess, our daughter, mckayla, who all of this was born from. We watch pets to help pay her competition dance fees. We all love pets and have two pups of our own. Our 4 year old goldendoodle, Mia, and our 7 year old jack russel, Toby. We have a 1/3 acre privacy fenced backyard and though our house is small, it’s filled with everything a dog could want or need. They have full run of our home and we make sure they have the best possible stay!

Prior to dog sitting, my pet care experience includes fostering rescues with Wonder Dog Rescue, Grateful Dogs Rescue and the SF/SPCA shelter. I also have experience as a volunteer dog walker at the SF/SPCA. I have experience working with dogs with a wide range of issues including: seniors, dogs with medical issues, including trauma and abuse/neglect. I have a special love for my work with fostering rescues, as well as walking shelter dogs. It’s an honor to have helped save the lives of many dogs.
