Dog Grrl was started in 1997 by owner and operator Jenny Test. Dog Grrl thrived and grew into a doggie daycare space in San Francisco that offered small dog daycare, puppy socials with classes with Smarty Pup and a BnB style boarding facility in Healdsburg California. As the business grew so did the desire to help dogs overcome their fears and anxieties so Jenny went to the Academy for Dog Trainers offered at the SPCA and taught by Jean Donaldson. Our headquarters for puppy school, small dog play, and socials is at the Parkside at 2121 Taraval St. Top Dog SF also offers an online Dog Walker Certification Program focusing on positive reinforcement methods.

Good Dog! Playcare offers daily playgroups in a private, handcrafted, 2800-square foot indoor-outdoor play space at the base of Bernal Hill. ​We are currently accepting dogs in the 20-50 lb weight range, and we only accept dogs who genuinely enjoy the company of dogs. Good Dog! Playcare offers a unique experience in daycare. We pick the dogs up at your home and take them to our place to play for 4 hours. By the time we drop them back off, they are out of the house for 5-6 hours.

I specialize in small breeds only! I am insured and my home has been inspected to foster by the ASPCA. That being said we provide a loving home environment for your family member. I have cared for many seniors and have extensive experience with special needs dogs. I provide enrichment activities such as snuffle mats, lick mats, frozen healthy treats, a tunnel, and backyard jumps. We are kennel free. I provide boarding and daycare and have about 100 repeat clients! So we have different dogs coming and going daily, although I keep the number of pups at 5. Dogs in my care must be social with other dogs and cannot have separation anxiety or obsessive behaviors.

We cater to clients who want or need one-on-one support for their dogs because they are fearful, reactive, aggressive, or just need more attention in their care. Whether it's a walk or drop-in visit to provide company and enrichment, your pet is in good hands with a professional who has years of experience working with dogs who have behavior problems in shelter and clinical settings.

Hello! My name is Jennie and I've been walking dogs in San Francisco for over 15 years. I take groups for one hour off leash walks in our beautiful parks. General training and good manners are reinforced with positive training techniques. I have assisted in training classes and puppy socials and worked at a dog day care.
