I am a certified professional dog trainer (CPDT-KA, ADB-CCBC, CSAT). My goal as a trainer is to always empower guardians to create strong relationships with their dogs based on clear communication, deep rooted connection and cooperation. I truly believe that this allows the dog to become a more mindful thinker. I use force-free, science-based, positive reinforcement training methods that yield terrific results. I am always expanding my education in the field to bring new, practical techniques to my clients. My hope is that I help create harmonious homes for all dogs and pet parents!

Midtown Mutts is a team of dog trainers and dog walkers servicing the Sacramento region. We offer private training sessions, group dog classes, day training and behavior modification and consulting, as well as in home dog walking and pet care. Our team is dedicated to providing kind, compassionate care and values implementing training and handling techniques that are humane and supported by the behavior science community.

My name is Stephanie, and I am a Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner with 14 years of experience working in the veterinary field. I have a bachelor's degree in Animal Biology from the University of California, Davis, accreditations in low-stress handling, Fear Free, and more. I love to learn and go to training, veterinary, and behavior conferences to stay up to date on the most current information on training methods, anxiety, and aggression. I specialize in helping pets with anxiety and aggression during vet visits, and I love teaching owners how to help their pets gain confidence in previously frightening environments.

Dog Tales is made up of a select group of experienced professionals who are also lifelong animal lovers and pet guardians. We understand that your pet is a valued member of your family and deserves the highest level of care and treatment. Leo has worked professionally with dogs for over 20 years, primarily in shelters where pups are understandably stressed and in need of targeted behavioral support. They are an Academy for Dog Trainers honors graduate (CTC) and a CPDT-KA. They offer VIP boarding in their purpose-built home environment for dogs who struggle to fit into traditional pet-sitting and kenneling environments, as well as board and train programs for puppies, teens and adult dogs to help them and their people build foundations that will benefit them in various facets of their lives.
