In 2000, as the creator of Give a Dog a Bone, Corinne pioneered environmental enrichment for dogs in long term shelter care. In developing and managing her program, she gained invaluable experience with dogs of all sizes and ages, dogs with diverse behavior issues, and dogs who simply needed a leg up to rejoin their community. Using force free, science based training, Corinne wants to see your dog learn with enthusiasm and enjoyment. She does one-on-one training, coaching, socialization, behavior consults, and outings for those dogs who find their world challenging. Her skill set includes basic manners, foundation skills, reactivity, and shy/fearful dogs. She boards sm or sm/med dogs.

At Ready, Pup, Go!, our mission is to guide future pet owners through the rewarding yet challenging journey of puppy parenthood. With statistics showing that approximately 20% of adopted puppies are returned or rehomed due to unmet expectations or unforeseen challenges (ASPCA, 2019), we aim to reduce rehoming rates and curb future behavior issues through comprehensive consultation and early education. By providing one-on-one coaching throughout the first year of a puppy’s life, we equip pet owners with the knowledge and support they need to raise well-adjusted, happy dogs. Polite Pooches offers group classes and private training sessions utilizing positive reinforcement, force free methods only. We offer puppy classes through advanced manners. All private sessions & group classes are held at our safe, quiet, clean training center in Forest Hill, MD. All of our trainers have achieved at least their CPDT-KA certification. We teach using humane methods, and go at a pace each dog is comfortable with.

I am an IAABC certified dog behavior consultant and a licensed Family Dog Mediator who works with families to meet the needs of both dogs and humans. I specialize in reactive and aggressive behaviors and will help you understand why your dog is behaving a certain way, so we can work together on the positive changes that need to be made.

RT provides Training & Group Adventures for large & working breed dogs. We believe our dog's best teachers are our own alumni dogs, trained by us. By using a combo of individual relationship-based training, with small group sessions that include enrichment, exposure & socialization, we've been successful w/ improving dog's skills & increasing desirable behaviors. We enjoy helping adolescents, fearful/reactive, high energy dogs. *GROUP ADVENTURES are structured, focused on socialization w/ high activity & guided safe 'Big Dog Play". A graduate of the Dog Training Internship Academy - a comprehensive program that provided me with a thorough understanding of animal behavior & learning and focused on the use of science-based training techniques to change both a dog's behavior and a dog's underlying emotional state that may be driving undesirable behavior. I'm also certified by The Certification Council of Pet Dog Trainers. This requires that I have a minimum of 300 hours of experience; references from a veterinarian, client, and colleague(s); and have passed a comprehensive examination testing my knowledge of learning theory, canine ethology, animal husbandry, classroom management, and teaching techniques.
