I only board dogs that are enrolled in my daily group walks. I walk dogs of all shapes and sizes even though my profile says I only walk small dogs. I don't know how that happened or how to change it.

I volunteer at the SF SPCA Shelter Medicine, specializing in shelter pets that require medical attention and care in stressful conditions. My responsibilities include administering oral medication, medical baths, physical therapy, and grooming. The Urban Paw is insured, bonded, and a registered dog walking and pet sitting business of San Francisco founded and owned by Emy Sakai. Emy is also a member of SF Professional Dog Walkers, SF Sitters, Professional United Pet Sitters, and Pet Sitters Associates, LLC. She offers off-leash exercise and playtime at a fenced-in, 3 acre private ranch. Up to 1.5 hours of exercise and socialization with a pack in a safe and controlled environment. She takes great pride and joy in what she does, and cares for each individual pet as if they were her own.

She utilizes force free techniques, whether dogs need a little extra help feeling safe, learning how to play with other dogs, learning how to trust people, or just plain making sure they get their exercise while they are out and about (and coming back when called!) She strives to help people learn how to understand their dog while cutting down on undesirable behaviors. Steph has a particular soft spot for all guard dog breeds, from shepherds to bullies, and especially enjoys working with them.
